I believe that art goes deeper than what we see with our naked eye. A painting rarely has only one story to be told: The ideas, vision, process, and the materials are part of the artist’s story. Once the artist’s story ends, the stories of the viewers begin and these interpretations give meaning to the artwork. Allow yourself to be open to the millions of variations, ideas, and colors that can emerge from the piece. There isn’t a correct way to art. Art doesn’t need to have one theme, one style, or only one message behind it. I wasted years trying to find my specialty, but the effort I pour into my pieces is what makes them special. I find my loudest and most powerful voice without ever having to speak a word. I am always motivated by my ability to surprise myself. This is how I art.
